God the Indescribable - Charles Isaac Samuel. S

The situation which I faced was unexpected. On May 14th 2007 twelfth matriculation results were announced. But on 14th of May 2007, I and my dad were in Calcutta for I was attending National Skating Championship. My result was announced and I failed in Mathematics. The situation which I went through was like whether to continue my race in Calcutta or return to Chennai. I never prayed that time because I was totally depressed about what I am going to do. After completing my race in Calcutta I returned to Chennai. I could not face my parents, my friends and my relatives.

We as a family always pray together as a family at night before going to bed. In my family prayer I prayed to God, that my result which was announced should be wrong and I should get a correct result. So the next day me and my dad went to DPI office and applied for revaluation in mathematics. They said that the result will be announced within a month, but that one month I underwent a very bad situation. That one month I lived a truth less life, telling everyone that I got through in twelfth with 70%. I got hurt and I asked God to help me in this situation. I cried and cried for the way I lived that one month. The thing I did was just prayed everyday three times like Daniel.

God was so compassionate to me and after one month my revaluation results were announced and to my astonishment, God gave my result as pass in mathematics and my percentage was 69.8%

I had a national conference in Pune on the July 3rd, 4th & 5th. It was mandatory for me to attend the conference as I had to present a seminar on behalf of Tamil Nadu colleges. A really big conference for me. But we as a band had a meeting at Thirupathoor on the 4th July in a school. We had committed for the meeting long back. I was completely confused to which one I should prioritize.

I asked my uncle and aunty to pray for me to take the right decision which God wants me to take. I was in prayer and it was on June 28th that I decided to go to Thirupathoor rather than Pune. I told my mom about the decision. She was happy for me but she was worried about what I would answer in my college.

Within hall an hour, after taking the decision in prayer I got a call from Pune saying, the meeting has been postponed to July 11th, 12th & 13th. I seriously couldn’t believe it. That’s when I realized that when we take one step for God he would take 99 steps to reach us and would change the entire world for us!!

Praise be to him – Jesus I love you - Esther Anandhi

After finishing my 12th STD I wanted to join in a college (any course) but I wanted to study, but my family was in a worst stage, they could not spend even 1000 rs. Because my father was not with us, he had left us and went somewhere, the only working person in my family was my mom (she was working as a house – maid). None of my relatives helped us. I was totally upset and confused. What am I going to do? Study? Or go to job and help my mom? On this situation I just prayed to God, “I want to study! If it is your will let me study else whatever is your will let it be done in my life” but I was very much afraid. Our God is a mighty and marvelous God. Nothing is difficult for thee. So beautifully he has changed my life and he has done great things for me. I’m doing my engineering now. From my very first year at college he took care of everything. All my needs (fees, books, etc) were met. Without any surety I got loan at bank. He helped me to study in all my situations, and also he took me out of the miry clay. I thought that everything was over but he led me so beautifully. He is my lovable father.

I LOVE JESUS…

Nowadays wherever we turn we find people losing their jobs, there is so much of confusion due to their slow down. But still he didn’t forget me and leave me alone.

I’m basically a very average student. I did not excel in my studies. But my ‘FATHER’ knew my weakness and was gracious to me. I got 84% and 87% in 10th and 12th exams.

Since I didn’t have a maths background, I took plant biotechnology where he helped me to get 79% after which through God’s grace I did my post graduation in human resources and got 70%. Praise and glory to His name alone. My subjects in Post graduation were very new but still he helped me to be the topper in my first semester.

I always had faith in my God that he will take care of everything in my life. So I never prayed for a job earnestly for the FIRST TIME. It was a miracle for me that day because that night my dad came home and said that “I spoke about you to an uncle and tomorrow we need to go and meet him with your resume.”

I went and met him the next day, he said that he will forward my resume after which there was completely no response for more than a month. I again prayed ‘Lord it was thine will give me a job if not lead me in thy will, I don’t wanna go astray’

Two days later, there was a call from CUMI, in parrys to come for an interview. I could still remember how God helped me to face the interview boldly and clear it. I normally become much tensed in such situation but on that day, he was with me helped me to talk out boldly and now I’m working in CUMI.

In the year 2008, we actually had to pay our exam fees (Rs.925) I collected all my friend’s money, and told them that I will pay it the next day. I had more than 15000 rupees cash in my bag. In the evening, we went to a musical shop to buy a CD; there we had to give our bags in a counter before we entered the shop. I gave my bag to the man in the counter, I completely forgot that I kept the fees money inside; we purchased the CD and returned home. Later in the night I realized that I left the bag in the shop with the money. I never told anybody about this, I started praying with tears. I called the shop owner (number was in the bill) and asked him whether the bag was there he said “No”; I was really afraid, because if the money wasn’t there, we will not be allowed to write the exams and I had to replace the money. Later in the night when I was reading the Bible, I read the parable of the Lost coin. Then I prayed to God with tears, the whole night (I wasn’t able to sleep) then in the morning, I told one of my friends, and we both went together to that shop, early in the morning and waited out side the shop till the owner opened the shop. After the shop was open, we went inside the owner; I told him that I was the one who called him last night. He went inside the bag counter and searched for a few minutes, he came outside with my bag, he gave me the bag, I immediately opened it and checked whether the money was there, not even single paise was missing! We paid the fees on that day! Praise Jesus!! He answers even my prayers. Imagine if I had not got the bag back?? What would have happened?? God works miracles!! He is an awesome God!!

In my 11th std I took First group. First I felt happy but later it was too hard for me, I failed in my 11th. In my school they asked me to go out of the school. Me and my parents, we just prayed for my 12th admission in my school. I was just amazing, after a week my principal called me and gave me an admission which I was not fit to get. All credits to my Lord God. Glory be to God!

Need answering God - Imman Rajmon

One day in my school there came a selection committee who announced that they will have a selection process and those who are selected in it will be sent to the USA in a full scholarship.

Like everyone even I wanted to go to USA. So I entered the selection. I went through many written essay exams and was selected through God’s grace in every exam. The there was an oral face to face interview. I was very nervous since that was my life’s first interview. I asked God for courage and he helped me to finish the interview. The selection committee gave a lot of suspense which made me to worry so much. So I prayed to God that I should go to my dreamland.

And on the day they announced the result, I was happy to hear that I was the first candidate with the highest marks in the whole Chennai. “THANKS BE TO GOD”

A Specialist in Impossibilities by D. Amaline Preethi.

I had a major health problem, where in, I was not able to talk about it to anyone. The doctors told that medicines cannot help me out. So, I became very depressed and sad. Even my family members were immensely troubled and so I couldn’t receive their support either during this time.

Then I cried out to the Lord and prayed continuously. I poured out my heart to Him. I couldn’t talk about this matter to my friends too. But I could share it with Jesus alone and asked him to work a way out for me. I waited patiently in prayer for a miracle to happen.

And soon, the miracle happened! Now I’m out of that health problem and completely healed. It was Jesus who touched me and I’m safe and healthy now. God has really worked marvelously in my life. Praise the Lord!

God loves you no matter who you are.

I have 2 wonderful examples of how my lord saved me from the clutches of this world. I met with an accident in 2006, which broke my thigh bone into two. I had to be operated on and there is still a titanium rod in my left thigh. I was very disgusted and angry with God and wished that, I had rather died than survive with a useless leg. I feared that I would never walk again. It was a very serious mishap and the doctors did not express hope either. I knew that I should be ashamed of being angry with God and started thanking him that he saved my life. It was a long road to recovery but I earnestly prayed to God that he should strengthen my legs and I should be able to play cricket again with my beloved RYF. They prayed along with me. My physiotherapy sessions were painful at first but I was making steady progress. God gave me peace and the strength and will to cope with my long recovery process. My RYF brothers in Christ used to visit me when I was at home hopping with crutches. Finally after 5 months, I had the cast taken off and slowly started walking again. My joy was complete when I went to play cricket again with my RYF friends and I cant thank God enough for the grace and mercy he has showered on me, Hallelujah.

Another miracle was that God helped me to clear 12 papers in one attempt to clear all my college exams and get my degree certificate. It was a complete miracle because no one had done it before and I was so relieved and happy that he did it for me…

God answers prayers..

It was Saturday, the eve of the 38th Anniversary of CSI Redeemers church, Anna nagar. The RYF team was supposed to sing a special song during the church anniversary service. I was planning to give an introduction for the song. So I prepared one, thanking God for his goodness and mercy through all these years. I also thought I’ll talk about the history of the church, how it was built by my thatha, late Mr. M D Selvaraj, how the Church started with a thatched roof (kudisai aalayam), went on to have an AC sheet roof for many years, and how God has blessed us now with a concrete-roofed Church with a balcony.
I prepared well for the song intro; it was going to be a Tamil medley.
The next day, as is routine, my dad prayed in the morning and he was wondering if anyone would tell about the history of the church, how the church started, how the church had gone through tough times. My dad prayed to God that someone should talk about the Church’s history.
I came home at 8:00 AM after my night shift at work and got ready to go to Church. At church, I informed my RYF members about the introduction I had prepared. They gave me a green signal and asked me to go ahead with the introduction.
Unfortunately, though I prepared well, the output did not come out as expected. But my dad was surprised to hear me talk about the church’s history, the thatched roof, and the details of the yesteryear church, just like he prayed that morning. The song came out well though

Below is the Video.

God answers prayers. Ask from your heart and he will fulfill your earnest requests. He answered my dad’s simple wish. He will answer yours too!

Say "Thank You Jesus" - Jebaraj Samuel. S

Say Thank you Jesus!

It was 4th April, 2009. I had an interview with an MNC that morning. I reached the office, and when I gave my resume to the receptionist, they informed that they were going to screen reject me, since I had less experience. After some talking, they allowed me to attend the interview. The interviewer asked me to explain my role with my current employer. I explained, giving a lot of information. When it came for the interviewer to ask questions, I was unable to answer them. During the interview he told me that he wanted to screen reject me in the first place since I did not have enough experience and that I did not posses enough hands-on experience. We had an argument. I asserted that I was able to answer some of the questions but he stated none of my answers were correct! That was all I could take. I left the place, losing all hope I had in myself. My mind was unsettled. The same day I went to Crossroads, a music concert. The preacher incessantly kept saying thank you Jesus and hallelujah throughout the message. I was wondering why? Here I am sitting, with all hope lost and the preacher thanks God?
The next day, 5th April, 2009, after our family prayer (we have it every Sunday evenings), my dad and I sat down to watch a football match. Being an ardent fan of Manchester United (MU), we always watch them play. That particular Sunday, MU had scored one goal and Aston Villa, 2 goals, with 30 more minutes to go. My dad commented on how Manchester United is getting kicked these days.
I always wanted Manchester United to win. And so, from the time I switched on the TV, I kept saying “Thank you Jesus” in my heart just like the pastor kept saying during his message, till the game was over. At the 61st minute Federico Machedo, a 17 year old teenager came in for Nani. Cristiano Ronaldo (currently the World’s best player) scored a goal on his left foot in the 80th minute to level the scores 2-2. I was still saying ‘“Thank you Jesus” in my heart. The scores were level for 90 mins. Then the referee announced that there will be five minutes of extra time. In the 92nd minute, Machedo, who was playing his debut for the club, scored the winning goal. It was one of the most spectacular goals of the season. The ball curled over the goal keeper and into the net for a winner and the whole of Old Trafford (The Manchester United stadium) was in raptures.
Check the video below.

The match ended after 95 mins. I was still thanking Jesus. I was ecstatic that day!
By and by I realized that, no matter what happens in our lives, we need to thank the Lord for his goodness. Even if you lose hope in yourself and life, NEVER give up! We sometimes tend to become ungrateful for what God has done in our lives. We need to remember to thank the Lord for every situation, for something good is bound to happen through them. At the end of the day, we can rest assured that everything will happen according to God’s will. He knows what is best for us and he will never burden us with more than what we can bear.

God of Impossibilities - J. Rexon Bennadict Sundhar Singh

God of Impossibilities

Jesus is, has been and always will be the God of Impossibilities! What you are about to read is a testimony to that.

I was part of a Management Training program which was conducted for about 18 Assistant Managers from different verticals & business expertise. The best participant in the program would win a “Gold Achiever Award”.

The program began on 13th Oct’08 and was scheduled to span across 5 days, spread over one month – 3 Mondays of Classroom Training & 2 Days of outbound training at an army camp site. I had set my sight on the ultimate goal of winning the Gold Achiever award the moment I was enrolled into the program. But the challenge was, I was the youngest member in terms of tenure (just 3 months old in the company as against people who had a minimum 1yr of experience in the company) and age.

The program was designed mainly for Operations & I am part of the Training function which being an enabling, support department is considered not so top of the league. At the end of every training session we had different forms of tests & assessments. The following week, the assessment results were shared and displayed for all to see, with stack ranking. At the start of the program, the message that was passed onto us was, ‘No one had stayed at No.1 spot for the full duration of the training programs that were conducted earlier. There were always changes in the ranking, every week after each assessment was completed”.

I wanted to change the trend, but knew that it wasn’t going to be easy. I committed the entire training program unto the Lord. I still remember the prayer that I prayed –
I prayed just two things to the Lord.

One was – Heavenly Father, winning this Gold Achiever Award is my desire, but whatever your WILL is, let it be done. Let me submit to your WILL rather than my desire.

Second was – In line with Philippians 4:13, If winning this is your WILL, Lord I cannot do this alone, but I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Throughout the programme - I kept myself focused only on these two points. On 8th Nov’08 the training program was completed and the results of the Training program were announced. I won the “Gold Achiever Award.” Not just that - I had stayed at the No.1 spot for the entire duration of the Training program, something which everyone had said was Impossible and had no precedence! I knew that it was not by my strength or power, but by the pure Grace of my Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ. I made it a point to acknowledge the name of my Lord when I received the award and was asked to share my success story.

My Learning Points are:

1. Always commit your ways to the Lord & submit to His will. His plans are always to prosper you & not harm you
2. You cannot do anything on your own, but you can do everything through Christ who strengthens you
3. Always have Fellowship with believers. When I was participating in the Training program, the entire Redeemer Youth Fellowship Team was praying for my success. Prayer has the strength to move mountains into the sea
4. Acknowledge the name of the Lord whenever & wherever possible. Let people know that you have a God who lives!
5. And finally, what is impossible with men is possible with God

God’s Biggest Miracle in my Life - Aravind Joshua Daniel

God works countless miracles in our lives and we are truly blessed in every way by our Redeemer. I write this to testify how God helped me, in the most unbelievable way, last year.

I was doing my 12th standard and was not too serious about it initially. Inevitably, as exams loomed nearer, fear took root in my heart. I was dismayed and very apprehensive about the prospects of having to face the board exams in about two months. That’s when I started praying to God diligently with support from all my family members and friends, but it was my mother who prayed with me whenever I knelt down to face the Lord.

When the exams started, I was ready for them. I was mentally prepared as it was my savior who gave me the inner strength that I needed desperately. I was soon out of troubled waters when I faced the exams without fear, as I knew God was with me.

The results were out and I was happy to have scored good marks. I was overjoyed and I turned to God, thanking him and worshiping his name over and over again. God has truly saved me.

Worship him for he is Lord.
